Darlene Shirley Gilbertson

Darlene Shirley Gilbertson, age 93, resident of Porter (formerly of Argyle, WI) departed this life on Monday, May 18, 2020 in Porter, OK surrounded by her family.  Darlene was born on December 15, 1926 in Freeport, IL and was the daughter of Harry Wilbur and Bessie Mae (Schultz) Dobler.  She married the love of her life, Grant Ardell Gilbertson on October 20, 1945 in Freeport, IL.  Darlene was a devoted homemaker for most of her life.  She also farmed alongside her husband and they owned Gilbertson Septic Service in Wisconsin for many years.  Darlene loved cooking, baking, crocheting, and gardening.

Darlene is survived by her son, Richard (Shirley) Gilbertson of Porter, OK; two sisters, Phyllis Saffrood and Nelda Reed; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Gilbertson; her parents, Harry and Bessie Mae Dobler; two sons, Stephen Gilbertson and Mark Gilbertson; three brothers, Glenn, Bob, and Harry Lee; and one sister, Betty.

There will be no services held for Darlene at this time.
