Debra Diane Lopp Obituary

Debra Diane Lopp, age 67, resident of Haskell was born on November 12, 1953 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Mack and Nancy Lee (Duncan) Taylor.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday morning, January 1, 2021 at Cornerstone Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Diane was a 1972 graduate of Haskell High School.  After graduating, she attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma where she received her Associates Degree.  Diane married the love of her life, Stephen Dale Lopp on June 2, 1972 in Haskell, Oklahoma.  She served as a pastor’s wife and had many roles in the Southern Baptist churches in Boynton, Muskogee, Park Hill, Gore, Tulsa, Kiowa, Yale, and Jones which are all in Oklahoma and Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Torrington, Wyoming.  Diane was exceptionally talented and loved playing the guitar and piano.  She was a soloist and sang with numerous groups.  She worked as a cosmetologist, retail clerk, and secretary at Cherokee County, Payne County, Oklahoma State University, and retired from Rose State College.  Diane was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved her family, music, and painting.  She loved everybody and went out of her way to express her love to you.

Diane is survived by her husband, Steve Lopp of Haskell, Oklahoma; her two son, Chris Lopp and wife Sarah of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Shawn Lopp of Haskell, Oklahoma; five grandsons, Matthew Lopp, Andrew Lopp, William Lopp, Elisha Roe, and Ethan Roe; two granddaughters, Ireleigh Lopp and Dossalyn Lopp; her parents, Mack and Nancy Taylor of Haskell, Oklahoma; her brother, Richard Taylor of Haskell, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Susan Brown and husband Bill of Coweta, Oklahoma; her aunt, Faye Armstrong of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her uncle, Charles Foster and wife Margaret of Pawnee, Oklahoma; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her grandson, Macklen Lopp.

Viewing will be from 12:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home.  Services celebrating Diane’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at the Frist Baptist Church in Haskell, Oklahoma with Rev. Craig Hobbs officiating.  She will be laid to rest at Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, Oklahoma.  Pallbearers are Jeremy Benson, Josh Brown, Kevon Owen, Andrew Lopp, Matthew Lopp, and Jackie Lopp.  Masks are required and social distancing and other safety protocols will be followed.
