Dennis Dwayne Flinn

Dennis Dwayne Flinn, age 52, resident of Porter went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, June 24, 2021 at his home in Porter, Oklahoma.  Dennis was born on March 11, 1969 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was the son of Carl Dennis and Phyllis Jeanne (Martin) Flinn.  He attended school in Warner, Oklahoma and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Oklahoma State University.  Dennis married the love of his life, Kimberly Carol Owens on June 2, 2007 in Poteau, Oklahoma.  He worked at DXC Technology in Tulsa as a TPF Support Lead.  He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Coweta.  He enjoyed camping, weightlifting, farming, and spending time with his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Kimberly Flinn of Porter, Oklahoma; his mother, Phyllis Flinn of Keefeton, Oklahoma; his children, Bailee Shambles and husband Zach of Claremore, Oklahoma, Morgan Flinn of Haskell, Oklahoma, Joshua Stallings and wife Sarah of Monroe, Oklahoma, and Michaela Anderson and husband Brad of Muskogee, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Xane, Reiyen, Lewke, Hannah, Avery, and Paizlee; his sister, Michelle Washington and companion Rob Lambert of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his nephew, Riley Washington; his niece, Brooke Washington; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Carl Flinn.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 and 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta.  Services celebrating Dennis’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Community Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Adam Mask officiating.

Pallbearers are Scott Huchteman, Aaron Schuller, Michael Verbrooks, Mitch Embry, Kevin Foster, Carl Swanson, Dennis Morton, Bobby Moffett, Jared Bolt, Dan Skelton, and Tyler Wilson.
