Estelle (Cooper) Foster, age 92, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. One of seven children, she was born on September 14, 1931, to the late George Washington Cooper and Angeline (Baker) Cooper near Red Rock, Arkansas.
At a young age, Estelle left rural Arkansas to stay with her sister, Glenna Kelley and her husband Bill in Coweta, Oklahoma to get a better education. While completing her education at Broken Arrow High School she met Bert Ray Foster, whom she wed in 1948. They had two sons and resided in Coweta until 1976 when they built a home near Broken Arrow and continued their life and commitment to each other. They shared many wonderful memories and activities until his passing in November 2007 setting a great example for their two sons.
Professionally, Estelle served as Bill Beard Auto Parts primary bookkeeper in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her dedication in work were matched only in her hobbies which included fishing, reading, antiquing, helping her son raise game fowl, playing with her pet dogs, and cooking. Her many talents and passions brought joy to all who knew her.
Estelle loved her time having coffee with friends in Coweta at the old Green Parrot Cafe and Midway Diner. Her enthusiasm for family was obvious, taking delight in all of the family gatherings and outings with her sons and grandkids. Helping with raising vegetables and sharing culinary creations, her guidance extended not only to her own family but also to her close friends and loved ones who will remember her for years to come.
Estelle leaves behind her son, Michael Harry Foster and wife Pamela (Bryan) Foster of Broken Arrow; their three sons and families, Michael Shon Foster, Adam Wade Foster, Kevin Wayne Foster. Also her grandson, Cody Foster, son of George Foster.
