Evelyn Corrine Lofton

Evelyn Corrine Lofton, age 92, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday evening, December 14, 2020 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Evelyn was born on May 14, 1928 in Craig County, Oklahoma and was the daughter of John Tilman and Hattie Mae (Swaggerty) Hollabaugh. Evelyn was a graduate of Centralia High School in Craig County.  She married the love of her life, Raymond Louis Lofton on May 16, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.  Evelyn retired from Sun Oil where she worked for 30 years in their accounting department.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Coweta.  She enjoyed going to church, square dancing, playing bunco, shopping, riding horses, trail riding, sewing, quilting, crocheting, traveling, going to Branson, Missouri, and she loved Roy’s Chicken.

Evelyn is survived by two sons, Steve Ferguson and wife Vicki of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Larry Ferguson of Stillwater, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Richard Ferguson and wife Tami, Robin Littlebear and husband Bobby Watts, Donnie Ferguson and wife Kimberly Yannes, Tim Ferguson and wife Terri, Jessica Keith and husband Joe, Jason Ferguson and wife Sharee, and Jonathon Ferguson; fourteen great grandchildren, Clint Ferguson, Cody Littlebear, Josh Fiscus and wife Megan, Dylan Ferguson, Makenzie Ferguson, Breanna Littlebear, Hunter Keith, Hannah Ferguson, Cierra Ferguson, Ava Ferguson, Hudson Keith, Forrest Watts, Austin Watts, and Logan Watts, and one on the way; one sister, Alma Spunagle of Vinita, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Louis Lofton; her parents, John Tilman and Hattie Mae Hollabaugh; and twelve siblings.

Viewing will be from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2021 and 12:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta.  Services celebrating Evelyn’s life will be a 10:00 AM on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Bob Green officiating.  Evelyn will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Pallbearers are Clint Ferguson, Dylan Ferguson, Cody Littlebear, Joshua Fiscus, Bobby Watts, and Joe Keith.  Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Ferguson, Donnie Ferguson, Tim Ferguson, Jason Ferguson, Jonathon Ferguson, Hunter Keith, and Hudson Keith.
