Geneva Boley Obituary

Geneva Mae (Killian) Boley, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to John William and Mary Katherine (Whitaker) Killian. She lived a fulfilling life of 90 years, surrounded by cherished family and friends.

A 1951 graduate of Coweta High School, Geneva began her career working at the Public Service Company of Oklahoma and at Oral Roberts University. Following her marriage to the love of her life, Wendell Howe Boley, on June 27, 1953, in Coweta, Oklahoma, the couple moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1966. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising three children and creating a legacy of love and devotion. While in Las Vegas, she worked at the daycare at Trinity Life Center, where she was also a member. With a passion for caring for children, she went on to run a home daycare for 25 years. After 50 years spent in Las Vegas, she and Wendell returned to their hometown of Coweta, Oklahoma.

Geneva's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, particularly her cherished grandchildren. She had a remarkable ability to always run into someone she knew when she traveled, a testament to the deep connections she had throughout her life. Her vibrant personality and warm heart will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Linda Boley of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Sharon Kary-Dighera and her husband, Dennie, of Salina, Kansas, and David Boley and his wife, Terrie, of Henderson, Nevada. Geneva had the joy of being a grandmother to eight grandchildren: Michael Boley, Morgan Nelson and her husband, Cody, Matthew Boley and his fiancée, Brittany Laidley, Kane Kary and his wife, Hailey, Mandy Kary and her companion, Taylor Kline, Blake Boley, Reed Boley, and Tanner Boley. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love, kindness, and joy. Geneva is also survived by her two sisters, Donna Michael of Haskell, Oklahoma, and Kathy Herrington of Checotah, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wendell Howe Boley, her mother and stepfather, Katherine and Archie Summers, her father, John William Killian, and her brother, Jack Summers.
