Georgiv Snelson Obituary

Georgiv Snelson, age 92, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Georgiv was born on April 9, 1930 in Inola, Oklahoma to Jeff and Arty (Philpot) Worthean.  She graduated from Inola High School in Inola, Oklahoma and then she attended business college.  Georgiv started working at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator and retired from AT&T as a supervisor after 25 years.  She was a member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.  Georgiv enjoyed fishing, going to church, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Georgiv is survived by two sons, Patrick Wayne Dixon of California and Michael Joe Dixon and his wife Lori of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother, Jackie Worthean and his wife Lavelle of Peggs, Oklahoma; two sisters, Phyllis Sowers and her husband James of Danville, Arkansas and Joyce Dilday and her husband James of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Robin Dover, Martin Dixon, Matthew Dixon, and Elizabeth Dixon; four great grandchildren, Zeth Cobb, Zevend Cobb, Maddie Cobb, and Minta Clem-Cobb; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Georgiv was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Snelson, her parents, Jeff and Arty Worthean, her son, Dale Cobb, her grandson, Roy Cobb, and her brothers, Raymond Worthean, TJ Worthean, and Jimmy Worthean.

A private family service will be held.  Georgiv will be laid to rest next to her husband, Howard at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
