James Graham Obituary

James Graham, age 80, resident of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, March 11, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on March 30, 1943, in Broken Arrow, OK to Bennie Elmer and Juanita Jo (Stubbs) Graham. James's life was a testament to the love and joy he brought to those around him.

James was the beloved husband of Linda Sue (Ray) Graham, with whom he shared an enduring love story that began when they married on November 22, 1963, in Berryhill, OK. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an ever-growing family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Sue Graham, of the home in Broken Arrow, OK; his children, Shelley Fornero (Marty) of Broken Arrow, OK, Kelly Graham (Lia) of Coweta, OK, and Michelle Mashburn (Justin Keeler) of Owasso, OK. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren, Andrew Nobles, Brandon Graham (Baylee), Alisha Wennas (Jake), Kent Graham (Rachel), Taylor Mashburn (Tyler Orphin), and Eric Mashburn, as well as six great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Glenda Archambo (Gary) of Gore, OK, Louise Padilla (German) of Coweta, OK, and Leon Graham (Mildred) of Catoosa, OK. He was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and a friend to many.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Elmer and Juanita Jo Graham, his grandson, Aaron Emge, his brothers, Olen Graham and Calvin Graham, and his sister, Norma Jean Camp.

A proud 1961 graduate of Catoosa High School, James went on to work as a stationary engineer at Oral Roberts University and Holland Hall School until his retirement. His work ethic and dedication to his profession were admired by all who knew him.

James was a member of County Line Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength and guidance. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, whether he was beagle hunting, deer hunting, coon hunting, or tending to his garden. James's love for the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren, with whom he shared his passions and life lessons.
