Jeffery "Jeff" Darvin Guynes

Jeffery “Jeff” Darvin Guynes, age 48, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, June 14, 2022 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Jeff was born on October 3, 1973 in Pasadena, Texas to Duane Thomas and Anita Kay (Fitzpatrick) Guynes.  He went to school at Martin High School in Arlington, Texas, Kennedale High School in Kennedale, Texas, and in 1992 he graduated from Coweta High School in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Jeff then attended Delmar Community College in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He married the love of his life, Heather Jean Miller on June 7, 1996 and they were blessed with two sons, Joshua and Christopher.  He was a fiercely loyal husband, father, friend, son and brother.  Jeff was a journeyman electrician and member of IBEW Local Union 584.  He also owned and operated Koweta Custom Cycles along with his dad, Duane.  Jeff was a member of Community Baptist Church in Coweta.  He was a talented handyman who could fix almost anything and took joy in helping others.  Jeff enjoyed fishing, coaching basketball, visiting the ocean at Galveston and Corpus Christi, Texas, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.  He was completely dedicated to their happiness and welfare.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Heather Jean Guynes of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; his parents, Duane and Kay Guynes of Coweta, Oklahoma; his sons, Joshua Duane Guynes of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Christopher Jordan Guynes of Coweta, Oklahoma; his brother, Michael Duane Guynes of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a family of in laws that loved him dearly.

Jeff was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Darvin and Delores Fitzpatrick and his paternal grandparents, Bernice Lolita Guynes and Henry Jack Guynes.

A memorial service celebrating Jeff’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Community Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Adam Mask officiating.  After this service, there will be a short graveside service and lunch.
