Jessie Wyoma Harper

Services celebrating the life of Jessie Wyoma Harper will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bill Walker officiating.  Burial will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin, MO.  Viewing will be from 1:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home.

Jessie Harper, age 83, longtime Broken Arrow resident went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, June 10, 2020 at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville, TX.  Jessie was born September 12, 1936 in Allen, TX and was the daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Hicks) Smith.  Jessie met the love of her life, Roy Alvin Harper, Jr. at Western Electric in Mesquite, TX, and they were married on July 15, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV.  She was a member of Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta.  Jessie was a devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family and Roy and Jessie owned Harper Valley Parts, Tools, & Accessories.  She also was a nurse aide at Country View Health in Tulsa, OK.  She enjoyed crafts, square dancing, and she loved spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Jessie is survived by her husband,  Roy Alvin Harper, Jr. of Broken Arrow, OK; five children, Roy Harper, III, James Ray Blackstock, Garry Blackstock, James Floyd Harper, and Susan Montague; one brother, Tommy Smith; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruth Smith; three brothers; and one sister.
