John Lee Robinson

John Lee Robinson, age 79, resident of Coweta departed this life on Monday afternoon, May 10, 2021 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  John was born on March 15, 1942 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and was the son of Bill and Jantie Rae (Douglas) Robinson.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  John married the love of his life, Karen Sue Booth on November 29, 1990 in Miami, Oklahoma.  He owned and operated John’s Dozer Service for many years.  John enjoyed calf roping and coon and rabbit hunting.  He had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a joke.  John was a true cowboy and an inspiration to all.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him dearly.

John is survived by his wife, Karen Sue Robinson of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; three daughters, Jill Wanasek and husband Scott of Rogers, Arkansas, Angie Dean and husband Jeff of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Deena Jones and husband Scott of Coweta, Oklahoma; one son, Michael Wheat Jr. and wife Jimmie of Coweta, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Whitney Lowery and husband Braxton, Ryan Klahr and wife Katie, Bryan Edwards and wife Kirsten, Karlee Wortham and husband Alec, Samantha Brown, Jacob Brown and wife Monica, and Jace Klahr; eight great grandchildren, Emmy Lowrey, Cooper Lowrey, Scarlett Edwards, Rilynn Wortham, Dax Wortham, Elle Klahr, Max Cabrera, and Jaxen Brown; two sisters, JoAnn Stacy and Billy Wantland; four nephews, Phillip Stacy, Billy Ray Stacy, Jack McCoy, and Freddie Don McCoy; one niece, Sherrie Stunkard; and numerous other relatives and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Jantie Rae Robinson.

A memorial service celebrating John’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating.
