Johnny "John" Michael Willingham

Johnny Michael Willingham, also known as “John”, age 59, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, July 20, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  John was born on September 19, 1962 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Thomas Hugh Willingham Jr. and Rose “Rosie” Lavonne (Snodgrass) Willingham.  He was a graduate of Muskogee High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  John married the love of his life, Rita Ann Patton on June 11, 1994.  He worked at Artisan Custom Cabinetry as a shop supervisor for several years.  John loved life and he loved spending time with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Rita Ann Willingham of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; his daughters, Trisha Ann Thompson and husband Michael of Porter, Oklahoma and Cheyene Nicole Willingham of Coweta, Oklahoma; his granddaughters, Gracie Thompson, Leona Thompson, and Serenity Thompson; his sisters, Rosemary Jackson and Lisa Willingham; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Hugh Willingham Jr. and Rose “Rosie” Lavonne Willingham and his brothers, Thomas Hugh Willingham III, Joey O’Dell, and Jimmy O’Dell.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating John’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.  John will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
