Kathern Arlline Leader

Kathern Arlline Leader, age 80, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma departed this life on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Southern Hills Rehab Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kathern was born on June 27, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Wiley and Mary Etta (Mohegan) Chandler. She graduated from Owasso High School and was a homemaker. Kathern married the love of her life, Harrel Haskell Leader on February 2, 1959. She enjoyed sewing, reading, listening to music, and gardening.

Kathern is survived by her two children, Andrew Leader of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mary Leader of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her three grandchildren, Brittney Berry of Coweta, Oklahoma, Melissa Leader of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Nicole Leader of Muskogee, Oklahoma; her five great grandchildren, Jayln Berry of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Brennen Berry of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Alexia Colina of Coweta, Oklahoma, Trey Berry of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, and Warren Berry of Coweta, Oklahoma; two sisters, Carol Dobbs and Vie Willard; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Kathern was preceded in death by her husband, Harrel Haskell Leader; her parents, Wiley and Mary Etta Chandler; and her sister, Betty Jo Chandler.

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Graveside services celebrating Kathern’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah, Oklahoma.
