Linda Kay Nail

Linda Kay Nail, age 75, lifelong Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, January 26, 2021 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.  Linda was born on October 15, 1945 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Willie Morris and Mary Thelma (Blankenship) Blair.  She attended Coweta Public Schools and was proud to receive her GED in 1992.  Linda married the love of her life, George Ray Nail on October 19, 1962 in Coweta, Oklahoma, and they were blessed with three children, Lesia, Johnny, and Adam.  She was a devoted homemaker who loved taking care of her family.  Linda was also a beautician and worked in manufacturing at Prestolite, Sun Manufacturing, and retired from Southwestern Manufacturing Company.  She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta, where she loved helping with the Wednesday night fellowship meals.  Linda enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family, listening to music, archery, and taking drives down Route 66 with her grandkids.  Her family was her world, and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.

Linda is survived by three children, Lesia Thomas, Johnny Nail, and Adam Nail, all of Coweta, Oklahoma; three brothers, Billy Blair and wife Doris, Larry Blair, and David Blair, all of Coweta, Oklahoma; one sister, Sandy Owens of Coweta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Cassie Walenciak and husband Gus, Collin Nail, Raven Nail, Colton Nail and wife Cori, Destiny Wilson and husband Boone, and Adam Nail, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Corey Leathers, Ian Leathers, Forrest Leathers, Cooper Wilson, and Violet Wilson; one great grandson and one great granddaughter on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Nail; her parents, Willie Morris and Mary Thelma Blair; and her granddaughter, Heather Thomas.

Viewing will be from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Services celebrating Linda’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Vern Charette officiating.  Pallbearers are Collin Nail, Colton Nail, Adam Nail, Jr., Gus Walenciak, Boone Wilson, and Larry Lamb.  Honorary Pallbearers are Corey Leathers, Ian Leathers, Forrest Leathers, Cooper Wilson, and De’Andre Jones.
