Lisa Michelle Peters

Lisa Michelle Peters, age 43, resident of Tulsa departed this life on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Lisa was born on August 9, 1977 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Michael Charles and Janice Sue (Smith) Poplin.  She was a 1995 graduate of Coweta High School and then attended Tulsa Community College.  Lisa worked as a daycare teacher for several years.  She enjoyed traveling, reading, astronomy, bead work, and making jewelry.  Lisa loved life, she cherished her family and friends, and her smile would light up a room.

Lisa is survived by three children, Logan Peters, Ashlyn Peters, and Neveah Peters; her mother, Janice Poplin of Coweta, Oklahoma; two sisters, Kimberly Poplin of Coweta, Oklahoma and Kristy Poplin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Kevin Poplin of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Chris Poplin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her maternal grandmother, Neva Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her paternal grandmother, Barbara Poplin of Coweta, Oklahoma; her nieces, Lilly Poplin and Kilee Poplin; her nephew, Lukas Poplin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Michael Poplin; her maternal grandfather, Harold Smith; and her paternal grandfather, Don Poplin.

A memorial service celebrating Lisa’s life will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.
