Lisa Jane (Wood) Watkins

Lisa Jane (Wood) Watkins, age 62, resident of Tulsa departed this life on Wednesday morning, March 31, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Lisa was born on December 6, 1958 in Wagoner, Oklahoma and was the daughter of John Thomas “JT” and Lorene (Poplin) Wood.  She was a 1977 graduate of Coweta High School.  She married the love of her life, Clyde Watkins on June 15, 2005.  Lisa was a certified medical assistant for 20 years at Cedar Crest Care Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and loved her cat “crack head”. Lisa will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Lisa is survived by her two children, John Howard and wife Julie of Coweta, Oklahoma and Crystal Keita and husband Nabil of Bentonville, Arkansas; five step-children, Tonya Rogers, Donell Watkins, Dennis Watkins, Michael Watkins, and Jeffery Watkins; fifteen grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Boston of Coweta, Oklahoma, Cathy Chance of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Patricia Meadows and husband George of Coweta, Oklahoma; one brother, Johnny Wood and wife Karen of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Watkins and her parents, John Thomas “JT” and Lorene Wood.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta.  Services celebrating Lisa’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Ryan Fankhauser officiating.  Lisa will be laid to rest at Gibson Cemetery in Stonebluff, Oklahoma.  Pallbearers are John Howard, Michael Watkins, Trey Watkins, Devon Rogers, Nabil Keita, and Trenton Rogers.
