Lola Jane (Fisher) Simpson

Lola Jane (Fisher) Simpson, age 82, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Lola Jane was born on October 17, 1939 in Coweta, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Felix Boyd and Amy Lee (Bryan) Fisher.  She attended Coweta schools until her sophomore year and graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Lola Jane married the love of her life, Walter George Simpson, Jr. on November 3, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was a beautician and a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family.  Lola Jane enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working number and word puzzles, and spending time with her family. 

Lola Jane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter George Simpson, Jr. of the home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; her two sons, Grover Lee Simpson and his wife Sondra of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and David Gene Simpson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her two grandchildren, Devin Lee Simpson and his wife Ashley of Edmond, Oklahoma and Sarah Simpson of Guthrie, Oklahoma; her brother, Steve Fisher and his wife Pat of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lola Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Felix Boyd and Amy Lee Fisher and her four siblings, Maxine Houser, Verda Chartier, Sam Fisher, and Donald Fisher. 

Visitation will be from 12:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Lola Jane’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy, 123 W. Sycamore St., Coweta, Oklahoma 74429.  Lola Jane will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Lollis, Charlie Lollis, and Devin Simpson.
