Lorene Dorthene Cypert

Lorene Dorthene Cypert, age 61, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, July 26, 2021 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Lorene was born on February 14, 1960 in Orr, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Billy Franklin and Julie Fay (Redman) Whitener.  She married the love of her life, Michael Allen Cypert in 1999 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Lorene was a homemaker her whole life.  She enjoyed walking her dog and visiting with people. She loved her family and friends.  Lorene was loved by all that crossed her path and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Lorene is survived by her boyfriend, Ralph; her mother, Julie Fay (Redman) Whitener; her sisters, Lyda Mae Whitener and Linda Whitener; her brother, Jerry Wayne Whitener; her three step children, Tonia Hale and husband Timmie, Robert Cypert and wife Tabitha, and Frank Cypert and wife Amanda; eleven grandchildren, Riley Williams, Elizabeth Watson, Dale Watson III, Spencer Cypert, Brittany Roe, Makayla Seeley, Abbigail Cypert, Lexi Cypert, Jayda Cypert, Jarred Hernan, and Attisyn Cypert; her special niece, Trish Christian; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Allen Cypert; her father, Billy Franklin Whitener; and her brother, Charles Franklin Whitener.

Viewing will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Graveside services celebrating Lorene’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklaoma with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
