Mark H. Sullivan, Jr.

Mark H. Sullivan, Jr., age 77, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Mark was born on May 27, 1944 in Van Nuys, California to Mark Hanna Sullivan, Sr. and Myrtle Esther (Howell) Sullivan.  He attended Coweta Public Schools.  Mark married the love of his life, Diana Louise Pinkard on December 2, 1964 in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Mark was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  He went to work in July of 1964 as a saw operator for Standard Magnesium and then the name changed to Kaiser Magnesium and then Kaiser Aluminum.  He worked at Kaiser for 38 years and retired as an evening shift supervisor.  Mark was the President of the Steel Workers Union.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, watching OU football, and spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his wife, Diana Sullivan of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; two sons, Mike Sullivan and his wife Rhonda of Haskell, Oklahoma and Darrell Sullivan and his wife Raquel of Coweta, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jackie Sullivan and his fiancé Liz Farmer of Haskell, Oklahoma, Brett Sullivan of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Elaina Coffey and her husband Robby of Jacksonville, North Carolina; one great grandson, Colton Coffey of Jacksonville, North Carolina; four brothers, Duane Sullivan and his wife Deborah of Mounds, Oklahoma, Richard Samuel “Dickey” Sullivan of Coweta, Oklahoma, Dennis Sullivan and his wife Linda of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Gary Sullivan and his wife Diane of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister, Linda Bristol and her husband Louie of Coweta, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Pam Pinkard of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Services celebrating Mark’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Mark will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Brett Sullivan, Jackie Sullivan, Robbie Dyer, Faron Sullivan, Brock Foster, Ashley Bristol, and Paris Bristol.  Honorary Pallbearers are Robby Coffey, Robert Bucholtz, Colton Coffey, Michael Denton, and James Jay.
