Martha Alicia Martinez

Martha Alicia Martinez, 73, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was born on November 20, 1947 to Andres Cano and Josefina Martinez in El Paso, Texas, and went to heaven on May 24, 2021. Her siblings are Irma Cano, Andres Cano Jr., and Eduardo Martinez, and her children are Rodolfo Martinez (Heidi Martinez), Ismael Gonzales, Ricardo Martinez (Frank Jimenez), Javier Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, and Elvira Gonzales.

Martha earned a chaplain's certificate, of which she was very proud. She also was employed as a hotel inspector and child-care worker.  She loved to cook, play Chinese Checkers, music, and enjoyed being around children.

She was preceded in death by her father Andres Cano, mother Josefina Martinez, brother Eduardo Martinez, and her children Ismael Gonzales, Javier Gonzales, Johnny Gonzales, and Elvira Gonzales.

Martha is survived by her sister Irma Cano, brother Andres Cano Jr., children Rodolfo Martinez (Heidi Martinez), Ricardo Martinez (Frank Jimenez), grandchildren Vanessa Gonzales, Javier Gonzales Jr., Amanda Gonzales, Ashley Martinez, Adam Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, and Abraham Gonzales, and great-grandchildren Miguel Hurtado II, Mila Gonzales, Jaiden Gonzales, and Robert Garcia II.

Services will be held at Healing Grace Church on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Gregory Riether. Reception to follow.
