Matt Darren Duncan, age 59, resident of Tulsa, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Matt was born on September 23, 1963 in Joplin, Missouri and was the son of Merle Duncan Jr. and Sondra (Greene) Claxton. He attended Hale High School and Tulsa Junior College in Tulsa. Matt worked in the restaurant industry for many years. He was a talented artist, cartoonist, and in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s appeared in the long running productions of The Drunkard at Tulsa Spotlight Theatre.

Matt is survived by his mother, Sondra Claxton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his brother, Merle (Tad) Duncan III of Limestone Co., Alabama; his sister, Gretchen Duncan of Kansas City, Missouri; and numerous family members and friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Merle Duncan Jr.

A private family service will be held for Matt.
