Melissa Jewel Purchner

Melissa Jewel Purchner, age 48, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Melissa was born on March 2, 1973 in Gulfport, Mississippi and was the daughter of George Darrell Purchner and Sharon Jewel (Clark) Moore.  She was a 1992 graduate of Broken Arrow High School and was a homemaker.  Melissa enjoyed spending time with her family, crafts, and making greeting cards. 

Melissa is survived by her four children, Jesse Bond and Sophia of Wiggins, Mississippi, Spencer Bond and fiancé Dedra Conley of Saucier, Mississippi, JayLynn Cross of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Dalton Cross of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her mother, Sharon Jewel Moore of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her father, Darrell Purchner and his wife Joan of McHenry, Mississippi; her sister, Melinda Nichols and her husband Chris of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, her brother, Darrell Purchner of Gulf Port, Mississippi and step siblings, Joseph Moore and his wife Cassie of Saucier, Mississippi, and Theresa Desporte of Gulfport, Mississippi; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will sadly miss her.

Melissa was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jesse and Lois Clark and her parental grandparents, George and Joyce Purchner, and her step father Jerry Wayne Moore.

A private family service was held.
