Norman Lewis Morrow, Sr.

Norman Lewis Morrow, Sr., age 84, longtime Coweta resident departed this life on Thursday evening, March 4, 2021 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Norman was born on December 26, 1936 in Dallas, Texas and was the son of Lewis Harold and Virgie Ottis (Morris) Morrow.  He attended Central High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Norman married the love of his life, Vera L. Gilbert on June 23, 1967 in Arkansas.  He owned several businesses throughout the years including, Big Four Filter, Napa Parts Store, and Jiffy Lube.  Norman enjoyed restoring old cars, going to Texas every year, and spending time with his family.  He was a stubborn guy but always quick with a smile.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Norman is survived by his wife, Vera Morrow of Coweta, Oklahoma; his two granddaughters, Sarah Stach and Tealey Leathers and husband Nick; seven great grandchildren, Oden, Titus, Barrett, Colton, Cambre, Clayton, and Cayden; one great-great grandson, Elijah; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his parent, Lewis Harold and Virgie Ottis Morrow; two sons, Norman Lewis “Norm” Morrow and Darryl Wade Morrow; one sister, Patty Martin; and one great grandson, Camden.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home.  Graveside services celebrating Norman’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating.
