Richard Allen Wallace, age 81, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma departed this life on Monday, April 18, 2022 at his home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Richard was born on April 24, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts to James Allen and Ann Marie (Reno) Wallace.

Richard was preceded in death by his half‐sister, Dorothy (Dottie) Reno, his father, James Allen Wallace and his mother, Ann Marie Reno Wallace, his son, Ronald Dean Wallace, and his daughter, Linette Ann Cates‐Wallace.  Richard is survived by his half‐sister, Joanie Reno, his wife, Pamela Jean Henry‐Wallace, his ex‐wife and mother to his children, Patsy Lee Wallace, his six daughters, Vickie Lynn Hackett, Lori Lee Monzingo, Kathleen Sue Wallace, Sharlene Marie Wallace, Billie Jo Wallace, Breann Wallace, fourteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Richard Allen Wallace (Richie as his parents called him) and Gunny by his military brothers and family, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1957, at the age of 17.  He attended and completed basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and was immediately stationed in Riverside, California.

He was a warrior for the United States and adamantly believed in the right of independence and to bear arms.  He served his country with his first tour to Vietnam.  He voluntarily served a second tour in Vietnam and when he returned state‐side he was stationed at the Marine Corps Base located in Norfolk, Virginia, then to the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina.  Many years later, Richard was transferred and served at the Marine Corps Base located in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina until he reached his last duty station at Marine Corps Logistics Base located in Albany, Georgia.  He retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1982 as a GY/SGT or E7.

Following his Marine Corps days, he settled in the Georgia area and continued to enjoy owning and operating his welding company.

Visitation will be from 4:30-5:00 PM with the service at 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Full military honors will be rendered by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard.
