Ruby I. "Rena" Baum

Ruby I. “Rena” Baum, age 76, resident of Tulsa departed this life on Wednesday morning, June 30, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Rena was born on February 9, 1945 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Lev and Thelma (Jarman) Stubbs.  She was a 1963 graduate of Union High School in Tulsa.  Rena then received an associate degree from Tulsa Community College.  She married the love of her life, Jack L. Baum on May 2, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Rena was a secretary for the State of Oklahoma Department of Corrections.  When she was younger, she also worked as a paralegal and as a flight attendant for American Airlines.  Rena enjoyed gardening, decorating, collecting vintage cookware, making jewelry, and she loved gemstones and beads.  Most of all, she loved her family and they were her greatest joy.

Rena is survived by her husband, Jack Baum of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, MaLinda Miller and husband Jeremy of Santa Rosa, California; her sisters, Vivian White of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Beatrice Rose of Catoosa Oklahoma; her grandson, Seth Baum; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Rena was preceded in death by her parents, Lev and Thelma Stubbs; her son, Nick Baum; and her brother, Bo Stubbs.

Graveside services celebrating Rena’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Miller, Eric Butler, Tanner Miller, Myrl Miller, Taylor Miller, and Paul Miles.
