Sharee Leigh Wilcox

Sharee Leigh Wilcox, age 71, longtime Tulsa resident, was born on November 23, 1951 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Hudson Vollie Turner and Betty Jean (White) Turner.  Sharee entered into the Gates of Heaven on Christmas evening, December 25, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sharee graduated from Memorial High School in 1970, and then went to Oral Roberts University, where she graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.  She worked at Oakhurst Elementary School in Sapulpa, Oklahoma for 4 years.  Sharee was stay-at-home mother for a while and loved taking care of her daughter.  She then became manager at Sunglass Hut in the Woodland Hills Mall where she worked for 11 years.  Sharee loved spending time with her family and friends.  She loved serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Sharee attended church regularly, sang in her church choir, and was a greeter at Church on the Move.

Sharee is survived by her daughter, Lena Davis and husband Joshua of Glenpool, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Cadence Leighanne Davis and Delano Michael Davis; her sister, Jeana Paschall and husband Eric of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her identical twin sister, Marcia Moreland and husband Dale of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her nephews, Michael Moreland and wife Carla of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Mark Moreland and wife Meagan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her great nieces, Grace Moreland and Zoe Moreland; her great nephew, Chris Moore; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Sharee was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Ben” Wilcox, Jr. and her parents, Hudson Vollie Turner and Betty Jean Turner.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Sharee’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Rev. Dr. Paul King officiating.  Sharee will be laid to rest at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
