Vickie Gail Evans

Vickie Gail Evans, age 63, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Vickie was born on December 3, 1956 in Nowata, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Roy Burton Wynn and Georgia Ann (Faulkner) Abels.

Vickie was raised in Ramona, Oklahoma and was a 1975 graduate of Ramona High School.  She was a devoted homemaker for most of her life who loved taking care of her family.  Vickie enjoyed crafts, writing stories, watching movies, and she loved animals.  Everyone that knew her, knew her family was her world.  Vickie had a beautiful smile and contagious laugh.  She was always smiling and loving life.  Vickie loved everyone and went out of her way to express her love to you.  She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Billy Dean Evans of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three children, Wendell John McWhorter, III and wife Tashara of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jena Jamal Jackson and husband Robert of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Jenifer Jamal Gates of Coweta, Oklahoma; her mother, Georgia Ann Abels of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sister, Becky Sue Stephens and husband Bob of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Dalon Dee Orton, Makenna Ray McWhorter, Ian Thomas McWhorter, Wyatt Josiah Gates, Cayden Jamal Jackson, and Sabrina Renee Jackson; two nieces, Tamara Elmira Bollig and Audrey Ann Rutherford; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Roy Burton Wynn.

Viewing for Vickie will be from 12:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Graveside services celebrating Vickie’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Ramona Cemetery in Ramona, Oklahoma.
