William Raymond "Bill" Simms II

William Raymond “Bill” Simms II, age 73, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Bill was born on August 13, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland and was the son of William Raymond and Virginia (Mertz) Simms.  He was a 1965 graduate of Lompoc High School in Lompoc, California.  Bill married the love of his life, Lynne Nickel on November 15, 1997 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  He was a member of the Church of God of Worldwide Association.  Bill was a Reverse Mortgage Salesman for 14 years, Insurance Salesman, and a Butcher for 25 years.  He enjoyed playing golf, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lynne Simms of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Jason Simms and wife Stacy of Moore, Oklahoma and Billy Simms of Moore, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Becky Dillingham of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one step-son, Brian Pohl of California; one grandson, Preston Simms; two step-grandchildren; Krista Florence and husband John and Kyle Dillingham and wife Heather; two step great-granddaughters, Penelope Florence and Gwendolyn Dillingham; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Raymond Simms and Virginia Simms; and two brothers, Michael “Mickey” Simms and Charles “Chuck” Glassner.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow.  Services celebrating Bill’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Rev. Ken Giese officiating.  Bill will be laid to rest at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
