Zelda Mae Morgan

Zelda Mae Morgan, age 84, resident of Haskell, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, September 3, 2022 in Bentonville, Arkansas.  Zelda was born on October 7, 1937 in Leland, Mississippi to Jack Garvin and Loeta Matilda (McBroom) Adamson.  She received her education at Union Public Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Zelda married the love of her life, Carl L. Morgan on June 19, 1969 in Miami, Oklahoma.  She worked at Wells IGA Grocery Store in Coweta and Jim’s One Stop in Coweta for several years.  Zelda enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, and she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Zelda is survived by her son, Terry Morgan and wife Donna of Haskell, Oklahoma; her sisters, Joyce Townsen of Rogers, Arkansas, Mattie Bolin of Arkansas, Beverly Taylor of Oklahoma, and Brenda Smith and husband Mark of Coweta, Oklahoma; her brothers, Bill Adamson and wife Charlene of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tommy Adamson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Barbara Adamson; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Zelda was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Morgan, her son, Gary G. Rogers, her parents, Jack Garvin and Loeta Matilda Adamson, and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Hubert Adamson and wife Lavonne, Earnie Adamson and wife Charlotte, Jackie Adamson, and Stevie Adamson.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Services celebrating Zelda’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.  Zelda will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Robert Smith, Travis Foster, David Norsworthy, Matt Pardue, Justin Taylor, and Jay Taylor.
